TrueType outlinesPrepare complex artwork first. This monochrome generator uses filled path geometry. Outline strokes and text, and flatten complex transforms, masks, clipping paths and filters before export for reliable glyphs.
Your file is processed on this device and never uploaded.
How it works
From input to output,
in a few clicks.
Build a compact, monochrome icon set without uploading your artwork. SVGMod converts basic shapes to paths, maps every icon to your chosen Unicode value, and packages TrueType outlines with a ready-to-use stylesheet.
- Add a set of SVG iconsDrop multiple SVG files into the upload area, browse your device, or load the built-in demo icons to try the generator.
- Assign names and Unicode valuesEdit each CSS class name and hexadecimal code point. Unique values prevent glyphs from overwriting one another.
- Generate the font and CSSCreate the TrueType font in your browser, then copy the @font-face and icon classes or download the .ttf file.

Frequently asked questions
Does this create an actual TTF file?
Yes. The generator builds TrueType glyf and loca outline tables, writes an SFNT font binary, and parses it again locally for validation. It does not rename an SVG, data URI, or other font format to .ttf.
Which SVG artwork works best?
Single-color, filled icons with a viewBox produce the most predictable results. Rectangles, circles, ellipses, lines, polylines, polygons and paths are converted locally. Convert text and strokes to outlines before uploading.
Which SVG features need preparation?
Flatten complex group transforms, clipping paths, masks and filters in your vector editor first. Expand use references and convert stroke-based artwork to filled outlines. Colors, gradients and opacity are not retained in a monochrome glyph.
Why does the generator use private-use Unicode values?
Values beginning at U+E000 avoid conflicts with normal letters and standard symbols. You can replace them with other valid, unique code points when your project requires a different mapping.
Are my icons sent to a server?
No. File reading, SVG conversion, font generation, validation and CSS output all run on your device. Your icons and generated font never leave your browser.
