Browser-only developer tools

SVG tools that stay on your device.

Optimize, convert and recolor SVG assets without uploading a thing. Fast, focused tools for developers and designers who value privacy as much as productivity.

Compare formatted SVG line by line with semantic summaries for geometry, paths, fills, and strokes.

Start with the outcome

Practical workflows, not just converters.

The right format depends on where the asset will live. These workflows explain which tool to use, what to check and which trade-offs matter.

Interface icon systems

Clean, recolor, then reuse

Start with the optimizer to remove editor residue while preserving the viewBox. Map fills and strokes to your theme palette, then combine repeated interface icons into symbols. Check the result at 16, 20 and 24 pixels: a file can be smaller yet render worse if precision is reduced too aggressively.

Embed only when it helps

A data URI is useful for a tiny background icon owned by one component. It is usually the wrong choice for a shared logo because the asset cannot be cached separately. Prefer URL encoding for readable SVG text, keep the original file in source control, and provide visible text when the graphic conveys meaning.

Export at the real display size

SVG is ideal in modern browsers, but some document, email and legacy workflows still need PNG or WebP. Export at the largest required display size, preserve the aspect ratio, and use a white background only when transparency would make the artwork unreadable. Resize downward in the final layout rather than upscale a small raster.

Your files never
leave your browser.

Most online converters send your work to a remote server. SVGMod doesn't have an upload API. Every conversion happens on your device using standard browser technology.
