Frequently asked questions
Which SVG colors can this tool replace?
It detects direct fill, stroke and stop-color attributes, including hex, RGB and named CSS colors. Colors inside CSS style blocks, currentColor and paint-server URLs are left unchanged.
Can I recolor an SVG for dark mode?
Yes. Replace the existing palette with dark-mode values and export a separate asset. For automatic theme switching, consider using currentColor or CSS variables in your source SVG.
Does recoloring upload my design?
No. Parsing, color replacement, preview and export all run in your browser. SVGMod never receives your artwork.
